Welcome to Neonatal Department

The neonatal department provides a specialized medical care for premature babies and those with other problems after birth for Ahmadi and Mubarak AL-Kabeer Health regional areas.
        • 77 cots (intensive care, high dependency, and special care) including one bed for mothers to stay with their babies who require special care spread over 2 wards (Ward 6 &8)
        • Developmental follow-up clinic for babies born under 28 weeks gestation and less than 1kg birth weight.
        • Five days a week morning and afternoon neonatal follow-up clinic
        • Consultant-led neonatal antenatal counselling for prospective parents of babies with medical problems diagnosed antenatally.
We are dedicated to maximizing and providing the best health outcome of the newborn babies in our department. We are also committed to offer the best support we possibly could to their families. We are proud to give the best teaching and training to the junior doctors and new nurses.
