Welcome to NICU Department
The neonatal department provides specialist medical care for premature babies and for those with other medical conditions at birth for the Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health Regional Areas. It is one of four neonatal departments in the Ministry of Health in Kuwait.
We are dedicated to maximizing and providing the best health outcome for the newborn babies in our department. We are also committed to offer the best support we possibly could to the families of our patients. We are proud to be the first baby friendly hospital in the region and work hard at maintaining our services at the highest level possible.

Breastfeeding Unit
We are always encouraging our paediatricians and nurses to be involved in promoting breastfeeding at all times. We do so by powering them with courses and workshops that help them support mothers who wish to breastfeed and educate expectant mothers on the benefits of breastfeeding. The unit was established in April 2010.
